Elk Grove, CA — On July 11, 2015 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm the Healing Arts Festival, located at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center @ 6151 H St. in Sacramento, will be collecting donations for Sacramento Loaves & Fishes.
The Healing Arts Festival, a metaphysical and holistic event, continues its trend of supporting the community by collecting donations for a local non-profit. The Healing Arts Festival made the switch in 2014 collecting for the Sacramento SPCA and the Sacramento Food Bank. In March, by popular demand they supported the SPCA once more. For the summer festival, they chose to support Sacramento Loaves & Fishes.
The owner of the Healing Arts Festival, Prasanna Hankins chose Loaves and Fishes because she was impressed with all the different ways they help people in need. “They don’t just feed the homeless but do so much more.”
The Sacramento Loaves and Fishes have programs that include advocacy for the homeless, animal emergency services, counseling and mental health, a library, schooling for homeless children, shelter, and a wash house. They also have about a dozen affiliate programs to further assist those living on the streets and in need.
The Healing Arts Festival is a free entry event, however anyone who brings a donation will receive a $5.00 discount coupon to use at one of the participating exhibitors during the event. There is a wish list of donation items available on the Healing Arts Festival’s website (www.healingartsfestival.com/fundraising-community-support) to bring during the festival hours of 10:00am – 6:00pm. Financial gifts are also accepted. Sacramento Loaves and Fishes will be available to share information about their programs and how you can help.
